Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls

For the last two years I´ve been planning a trip to the most famous falls in the world, The Niagara Falls.

THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR BEAUTY AND THE PURITY OF THE WATER.
Both sides of the falls are illuminated during the nights to create an amazing background to all the thirty million tourists that go there every year.
Colour Beauty

The first thing I would like to see near the Niagara Falls, is the dangerous tightrope walking done by expert funambulists.
"I consider skydiving done by some reckless people near the falls less dangerous than walking on a wire with no security methods."
Can´t they even think about the 176 feet of the fall and all the people that have died in them? More than 40 persons are killed there every year!.

There´s also a  specific hour everyday in which tourists keep silence to hear the clattering water in it´s most natural state.
A sacred hour for tourists , in which I would like to be.

There´s no rule that bans talking during that hour but I won´t be the one tu ruin that special moment!

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare

W.Shakespeare , an autor born in april 1564 (Startford-Upon-Avon,UK).He had three children and died the 23rd april 1616.
He had all of his fame from writing novels and poems that were based on philosophical thoughts

Shakespeare In Love,is an interesting movie Directed by John Madden Jr. In this romantic and funny film, Shakespeare tries to get close to Viola De Lesseps,a lady that belongs to a noble Family.
This movie was ran in the cinemas 25th December of 1998. It´s two hours and two minutes long, two hours full of romance, medieval and old english, with even a smooth comedy.

In the film , Shakespeare, appears as a poor writer who falls in love with a rich woman, but her family doesn’t approve that(and because he was also married).

In my opinion it´s a film in which there`s a mix between the romeo and juliets novel and W.Shakespeare`s life.

Watching it helps learning about how our ancesstors used to live , giving us a wider idea than only reading in books.

Will You Be?

To Be Or Not To Be

-Do you think they have something in common with your everyday life?

Not Really, but sometime I do ask my self about somethings with no scientifical answers or I wonder what if my life was different.
It is hard to think like that , because it´s thinking in a new form of living our everyday life, a form in which everything could be possible.
But sometimes thinking so far can bring us the worst of the fears , the fear of not knowing the answer for What If..? "

”To be or not To be it`s monologue written by W. Shakespeare thas speaks about philosophical thoughts and the meaning of life”

Trip to the Loch Ness - Lina Teyar - 2bachC

TRIP TO THE LOCH NESS

My friends and I have decided to go to the Loch Ness last holidays. This was the journey: we arrived there a monday at 9.30 am by car. Loch Ness is a large, deep, freshwater lake located on the Scottish Highlands. Its surface is 52 ft (16 m) above sea level. It is the largest by volume in the British Isles. We have been there for camping, that's why we stayed for three days. We took breakfast and my best friend came up with the idea of doing meditation; because it was so peaceful. It took us a while, and then, we began to walk all along its shore, trying to enjoy every bit of its natural beauty. We ate lunch and the evening was for meditation again. The next day, after breakfast, we thought of doing some yoga, and it lasted all morning long. In the afternoon, we went hiking. The third and last day was about resting the whole morning and in the afternoon, we began packaging to leave the place. It was really cold, but it has been a very memorable experience. Also, Loch Ness is known because of the cryptoozological Loch Ness Monsterknown affectionately as "Nessie"; but while being there, we couldn't perceive any monster at all!

What I learnt from Shakespeare - Lina Teyar - 2bachC

What did I learn from Shakespeare?

Shakespeare is a very overstanding writer. That's why his work is still loved and appreciated by people nowadays. Learning from him has been literally worth it, because any of his masterpieces is absolutely full of new knowledges. His work is based on describing real life - creating imaginary realities from real life experiences. That's how what this artist wrote could completely affect us; because they are all representations of real life. Thus, it would be so useful to get inspired from his thoughts, which appear between the lines in his writings. Knowing and working on his creations, his life experiences, his ideology, his fears, his passions has been an absolute privilege, as I could learn them and apply them in my reality; for example, not to make the same mistakes, and in most of cases, learning how to survive in a specific society. To conclude, William Shakespeare could not be called ''ordinary author, as any other'', because he taught us new things, that have helped us during centuries.

ROMEO AND JULIET

Shakespeare in love is a comedy and Romance movie directed by John
Madden and written by Tom stoppard and Marc Norman. 25 December
of 1998, it was the first time to show up in theatres and in 1999,
it was wide on DVD. The runtime of the film is about 122 minutes.

The movie, talks about the romantic story between William and Viola, someway. Moreover, William Shakespeare, in that time was a good writer, but, sourounded by a society that doesn't give value to writers. Because of that, he was poor. He fell in love with Viola, a princess that belongs to a high class. Nevertheless, in the movie he writes a tragedy play about their impossible love.

William and Viola were the main characters of their own love in the tragedy written by William. They also had a lot of problems about a woman acting in theater.

Finally, they overcome that situation. Some of the second characters of the movie are: Gwyneth Paltrow as Viola, Josep Frennes as William, Geoffrey Rush as Philiop Henslove, Colin Firth as Lord Wessex...

In my opinion, Shakespeare in love, is one of my favourite movies, it is very good done. It represents the story of Romeo and Juliet, and I love romantic and dramatic movies. I recommend it, for all those that have the same likes.

FILM REVIEW by Rita Benhida

Everybody has heard about Shakespeare and his "Be or no to be", the Miramax Studio gave to us a different vision of the famous writer in a film called "Shakespeare in Love", written by Tom Stoppard and Marc Norman and directed by John Madden(II).

In the movie we can see how was Shakespeares' life and learn about how was that time, the habits, the laws, the dresscode or that women can't act in a theater.
In the history Viola De Lesseps (Gwyneh Paltrow) was acting in the "Romeo and Juliette" as a man before that Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) and she fell in love. After, a los of problems, such as the Queen knew about that woman was acting in a theater or that Shakespeare fought with Violas' future husband, the finally presented "Romeo and Juliette" in front of the public with a woman acting in it.

The movie proves us that all the big things happen with doing something different from the rules tells.

Shakespeare in love

"Shakespeare in Love"

"Shakespeare in Love" is a film based on the life of William Shakespeare, focused on the moment he was writing "Romeo and Juliet", one of his tragedies. This movie was written by Tom Stoppard and directed by John Madden (II). It was written also by Marc Norman. It was released on December 25, 1998 in theatres, and on August 10,1999 in DVD.It was produced by Miramax studio and the runtime is 122 minutes.
The film talks about the story of William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes), one of the most important writer all over the world. It is focused on his relationship with Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) and how she helped him to complete "Romeo and Juliet", which will became a very important play. This kind o relationship reflects the idea of "Romeo and Juliet", because it's an impossible love. She will be married with Lord Wessex ( Colin Firth) and William hasn't time enough to complete the play.

I think it's a very good film that shows the life of a writer like Shakespeare, and a lot of real characters, like Queen Elizabeth (Judi Dench). If you want to show a Romance and Comedy, based in a past century, this is the film you should watch.

Shakespeare In Love 💗 💖

I saw a preview of this movie and it was terrific. Most period movies are long, boring, usually low-concept and often as emotionally heavy as the costumes in which the actors trudge around (Elizabeth, Wings of the Dove, The Piano, Restoration, etc...)

Well this movie was different. Don't be afraid of the word Shakespeare in the title! This movie is not a junior-high history lesson. It's light, funny, romantic, and a totally irreverent look at Elizabethan England.

The screenplay is brilliant. The best writing in a movie I've seen this year. The idea is that Shakespeare is not some grave, great poet, but a young guy trying to make his way in the theatre. He's written good plays, but nothing truly transcendent. The conceit is that an ill-fated romance--the one great true love of this life--with a beautiful, smart woman is what inspires him to write his first immortal play: Romeo and Juliet.

Also, the movie is really romantic. The costumes are lush, the leads look great and have real chemistry together. I used to think that Gwyneth was overrated, but here she's radiant. And Joe Fiennes has an intensity and a vulnerabiliy, as well as a sense of humor, that I for one find sorely lacking in his older brother Ralph.

Needless to say, this is the best date movie of the year.

Shakespeare In Love

Shakespeare in love is a movie directed by John Madden and written by Tom Stopped and Narc Norman. It is a movie done in 1998 but it is inspired in shakespeare's life. To be more precise, it is based on the period of time where Shakespeare was trying to represent his fañous play "Romeo and Juliet".

As we know, at those times, women cannot represent a play in the theater. This fact, pushed Gwyneth Paltrow (Viola in the Film) to lie about her identity with the objectif of representing the play. She was doing the casting in front of Joseph Fiennes (William Shakespeare in the Film), when he noticed that she wasn't a man. After that he started having a secret and romantic adventure with her.

I loved the movie because I think that is a great work done by the director. Even though, the movie does't show the real life of William Shakespear

KILIMANDJARO CLIMBING. LANDMARK

I was in a great state of mind when I left Tangier. I caught up with all my family and some friends which is always the best. I arrived to kilimand
jaro airport in Tanzania , after a long trip and we meet a guide called John. This week has been an account of my time climbing the Mountain Kilimandjaro with 5,895 metres above the sea , while is the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

The great thing about the climb is that it is not technical , It's more of a walk than a climb really.
However , we only give us limited break , probably knowing that we wouldn't get back up if we stayed for too long. It was -26 degrees without the wind , we had to take good shelter . Willpower and endurance are the two most important qualities you must to have to be successful in reaching the summit. You need to be able to convince yourself that you can do this , although the othersare failing.

The jungle like landscape was unforgettable ,we saw a beautiful amber-eyed monkey at forest camp ,  and in the night hundreads of stars illuminated the sky in a way I've never experienced. Descending is hard , I must have fallen 10 times , we were joking on the way that we must look like we didn't make it.

What I learnt about Shakespeare's movie by Diae Zrihni

This movie is a dramatic love story, that reflects two people truly ion love, but even if their love was strong, they couldn't be together because her family decided to marry her with a rich Lord. It could be a bad image for her family to be shown with a poet.

I knew already the story but not detailed like we see in this movie. I think it's a great movie that reflects the society of that time. The part that draw my attention is where we see only mens in the theatre beacuse girls can't act but Viola did it perfectly to shoz that women can do it, even better than mens.

Snowdown Circle Wales

SNOWDOWN CIRCLE

Wales, known for the purity of it's nature, specialy the Snowdown mountain.

This mountain,in witch I have  been last summer, attracted many expert cyclist and tourist. It provides aperfect ambence for practicing senderism and cyclism. The air cleans your lungs and helps blood's circulation. My goal was reaching the top of that mountain, because is rumored that in that place you can see all the city and it's surrondigs. I can proove that it's true.

I had the best time of my life. While the wind was swirling all around I was watching the sunset drawning in the horizo. A few hours later the sky was painted in a dark blues letting the stars shine like I have never seen before.

Snowdown mountaine , a place where the timelouses all it's meaning, going there changed my perception of life.

What I learned about Shakespeare.

What I learnt about Shakespeare

First, I want to say that nothing of this would be possible without the different ways of learning that we treated, we used our local cinema, an Oscar award winner movie like it is ‘Shakespeare in Love’, the use of the internet to search about different information about Hamlet (one of the most famous theater plays of William Shakespeare).

I learned about sincerity, because lying can cause you problems, not like in this movie, reality can hit you harder than you expect so, that’s the lesson I’ve got, it was kind of something I knew before, but a reminder is always welcomed.

I learned some interesting history facts but, surely, the most curious thing was, the easily way that things were done, nowadays and sometimes it takes a lot of bureaucracy and  turns things to a difficult way and full of injustice. I know that we are organized but sometimes I wished that we had that affinity in some details in a daily basis, in our life, luckily a lot of people have a ‘good heart’.

What I learnt about Shakespeare

During this term, we studied the famous and awesome author William Shakespeare. We made two projects and we watched two films related to Shakespeare: “Shakespeare in love” that talks about his life and how he fell in love with Viola, and “Hamlet” a movie based on a play by Shakespeare.

I think that it is important to study the important English authors and that we have to learn about the British culture.

From Shakespeare, I learnt that love could be gorgeous when the two people feel the same love to each other. In addition, I learnt new vocabulary from his poems and plays, because he uses a new vocabulary for me and it is really hard to understand. Moreover, I learnt several lessons with his awesome quotes like:
“We know what we are, but know not what we may be.” (Hamlet, 4.5) or “To be honest, as this world goes, is to be one man picked out of ten thousand.” (Hamlet, 2.2)

In short, I suppose that those projects were worth learning about British culture and one of the most important authors in the world.

TAJ MAHAL

My friend and I had been waiting all year to go to India and we were so excited to visit the wonderful and awesome Taj Mahal. We wanted to visit it because we heard a lot about the story of the emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It seemed an interesting place to go, and we went!

The trip was not short. We travelled from Barcelona to India and the airplane had been flying for 19 hours, but it was really worth going there. Directly, we went to Taj Mahal in a strange, small taxi, but we had fun. The taxi took us 500 meters away from Taj Mahal because you cannot arrive in there by car, to prevent the monument from gasoline smoke so as not spoil the facade of the building.

When we arrived, we were amazed with the sight of that fantastic monument. Taj Mahal has Hindu and Islamic architecture, surrounded by green gardens and visitors around the world. It has also inside a mosque and the tombs of the emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

The strangest thing we saw in the trip and we did not understand are the prohibited items at Taj Mahal. There was a notice that forbids illogical things like crayons, books, motorcycle hemlets or garlends of flowers. Does it surprise you? It is impressive! My friend and I were curious to know why and we went to ask the security man. The worst thing is that he even did not know it! He said to us that he only works taking as reference the law that comes from The Ministry of Tourism.

Until now, we still have those questions wondering in our head. We are planning that if we return to India, we will try to answer this question though it's hard.

The London Eye

A modern, but already very popular tourist attraction, is the London Eye, a giant observation wheel located in the Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank. The 135 meter tall structure was built as part of London's millennium celebrations.
British Airways was the company that gave the money for the construction.

The wheel rotates vertically, is 443 feet tall and has 32 capsules with windows of high-tech glass, each with space for 32 people. Each capsule is air-conditioned and was designed to rotate in a way in which everyone can appreciate a spectacular view of London. The trip is approximately 30 minutes long.
On a clear day you can see all the way to Heathrow Airport and Windsor Castle. The wheel does not usually stop to transfer passengers, the rotation is slow enough that they can easily get on and off the moving capsules at ground level.

Definitely a must do, London is so historical and beautiful and you can see everything from the eye. It is really worth doing.

Shakespeare in Love by Ziyad Saber

"Shakespeare in Love" is a comic and romantic movie directed by John Madden II and written by Tom Stoppard and Marc Norman. It last 1222 minutes and it come out for the first time and it came out for the first time the 25th December 1998.
This movie is set on the late medieval period and it's based on Shakespeare's life during the time when he was writing Romeo & Juliete.
Eventhough this film is a kind of biography, as in Romeo & Julieteit eflects the nuance of platonic love, in this case between Viola de Lesseps, played by Gwyneth Pathrow, and William Shakespeare, played by Joseph Fiennes, because Viola was supposed to marry Lord Wessex, played by Colin Firth, who she went with to be given the approval of their marriage by the Queen Elizabeth, played by Judi
My perception of this movie is that it represented well that era, which mixed with the good acting, it made this film a great one, and so on a Grammy Award Winner.

Business in Singapore

Business in Singapore

After spending 7 years studying and working hard.I achieved my first goal , to become the CEO of a company. It was time to take a break before pursuing my other goals. So I contacted with some of my old friends. We organized a trip to Singapore and  we decided to stay in the famous Marina Bay Sands Resort.

Marina Bay Sands Resort more than a simple Resort it is an architectural masterpiece ; composed by three towers and a floating crystal pavillion at the top. This iconic hotel includes the world’s largest rooftop swimming pool , a lot of Restaurants and coffee shops ,it counts also with a world class Casino. You can enjoy your stay visiting the Resort’s Shopping Mall either the ArtScience Museum , located in one of the three towers. However it wasn’t the Resort what drew my attention the most, but, the Henderson Waves , that is one of the highest pedestrian bridges worldwide. You can have a walk there and enjoy the panoramical view of the contrasting surrounding greenery and the city skyline.

Apart from enjoying the trip, I exploited this visit to Singapore to make some business with one of the most loyal customers of my company, Peter Lim.
We really spent a very good time in Singapore , and enjoyed so much this beautiful country. I learned a lot from the country’s culture. ActualIy, I would like to repeat the experience that I absolutely recommend to everyone.
