Nowadays there is a big debate turning around "Spending millions on defending out planet against asteroids", but the point is: Are gouvernements protecting peoples lives or just letting them survive?

I think that before spending millions defending the Earth against asteroids, it is most important to invest in the quality os the lives of the humans. With that I'm trying to explain that before all that sounds like science-fiction movie we need in our cities more hospitals, school, work, ... definitely in my opinion there are things more important where to spend money.

And after we find a solution to the BIG problems of the world, then we can spend money on the asteroids.
