I was in a great state of mind when I left Tangier. I caught up with all my family and some friends which is always the best. I arrived to kilimand
jaro airport in Tanzania , after a long trip and we meet a guide called John. This week has been an account of my time climbing the Mountain Kilimandjaro with 5,895 metres above the sea , while is the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
The great thing about the climb is that it is not technical , It's more of a walk than a climb really.
However , we only give us limited break , probably knowing that we wouldn't get back up if we stayed for too long. It was -26 degrees without the wind , we had to take good shelter . Willpower and endurance are the two most important qualities you must to have to be successful in reaching the summit. You need to be able to convince yourself that you can do this , although the othersare failing.
The jungle like landscape was unforgettable ,we saw a beautiful amber-eyed monkey at forest camp , and in the night hundreads of stars illuminated the sky in a way I've never experienced. Descending is hard , I must have fallen 10 times , we were joking on the way that we must look like we didn't make it.
