Akeley born December 5, 1875 Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Commonly known by
her nickname Mickie was an American Explorer.
Delia
Akeley had a life of adventure. With her second husband, Carl Akeley,
the traveled to Africa in search of a special elephant specimens for
the museum of a natural history in New York and she got save the
Carl’s life in one of those dangerous hunts.
Back
in the United States took with her a Monkey which he had to teach him
how to behave, but this specimen of monkey learned very quickly that
fascinated him and she didn’t abandon his passion for Africa and
decided to travel alone to the Belgian Congo to explore this lands
where this monkeys lives.
Delia
Akeley died in 1970 at the age of 94, he is one of the first authors
who write a anthropomorfic biography of the monkeys.
