Ellen Church
Ellen Church (September 22, 1904 - August, 1965) was the first female flight attendant. She was a strong and revolutionary woman who was born in Cresco, Iowa. After graduating from high school, she obtained a nurse title and became the first fly stewardess.
When she started looking for a job, it wasn't so easy, she kept looking for months but eventually she started working at the BAT (Boeing Air Transport) in San Francisco. Years later, she served for the U.S Army, and earned and air medal, then, she decided to retire and move to Terra Haute, Indiana. In Terra Haute, Ellen met the man of her dreams, the director of the National Bank of Terra Haute, Leonard B Marshall, so, they fell in love, and got married.
Sadly Ellen died in a horse accident in August 1965.
There are no books about her yet, but a lot of writing companies are competing, so they can write a biography about her.
